The Cubs postseason rally was held in Chicago today. The Cub’s radio station, The Score 670, hosted the rally with a live broadcast through the day. (I live-blogged the event with a dozen photos). One part of the event in particular stood out—when Ryne Sandberg looked at my World Series scorecards an autographed one for […]

I almost missed getting my photo taken with the World Series trophy. I work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The World Series trophy is sitting at the Tribune Tower, and I was almost not there. For the past 16 years I’ve been working for Tribune Content Agency in the Tribune Tower. Whenever a Chicago

Nerve damage? I did so much writing and drawing, that the tip of my right middle finger became numb. The way I hold a pencil, my middle finger gets a lot of pressure. Whenever I write anything, I tend to push pretty hard. On the scorecards, I write really small, so I need more control,

The first World Series game at Wrigley Field in a long, long time! With the series tied up 1-1, there was great hope leading up to this game. The wind was blowing out at Wrigley, and the Indians had a fly ball pitcher on the mound. It was time for the Cubs to start hitting

Paintings can be engineered, but most often they are better off simply being painted. Over-thinking the first scorecard is very easy to do. I worked until about 3:30am, because there were so many fun stats to dig out. With the Cubs being in the World Series after 71 years, the trivia overflows. “First time since

I’m still in shock that the premier magazine in Chicago is commissioning me to create scorecards for all the 2016 World Series games. A lot of the thanks and credit has to go to my twin brother Erik who designed this scorecard. My family are big scorecard keepers at the ballpark. We love to keep
