Top ten longest strikeout streaks

2002 Topps Geoff Jenkins

Who has the longest streak of games with a strikeout?

37 consecutive games with a strikeout
Pitcher Bill Stoneman (4/30/71 – 4/21/72)

36 consecutive games with a strikeout
Picther Bob Veale (7/21/67 – 8/18/68)

34 consecutive games with a strikeout
Pitcher Vida Blue (4/9/71 – 9/12/71)

29 consecutive games with a strikeout
Pitcher Jim Nash (5/12/67 – 4/24/68)
Pitcher Dean Chance (6/25/65 – 5/25/66)

28 consecutive games with a strikeout
Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia (7/23/08 – 4/25/09)

27 consecutive games with a strikeout
Pitcher Rich Gale (6/22/82 – 9/6/83)
Pitcher Dean Chance (7/28/64 – 6/16/65)
Pitcher Steve Barber (6/21/60 – 6/23/61)

26 consecutive games with a strikeout
Outfielder Brad Hawpe (8/17/07 – 9/13/07)
Outfielder Geoff Jenkins (8/31/01 – 10/5/01)
Outfielder Mike Cameron (7/17/2001-8/17/2001)

Pitchers dominate this list. Take a look at Dean Chance! He had back-to-back streaks of 27 games (7/28/1964 – 6/16/1965) and then 29 games (6/25/1965 – 5/25/1966).

The hitter with the longest streak is Jarrod Saltalamacchia over the course of two seasons. I’m more curious about a hitter having a bad continuous streak, Brad Hawpe and Geoff Jenkins asnwers that.
